北京时间2017年10月26日凌晨，萨省移民局开放了萨省技术移民EE类别1000个名额。这是继8月22日萨省调整年度移民配额后首次开放申请。
萨省无需雇主的技术移民分为EE类别和Occupation In-Demand类别：其中EE类别需要同时满足EE门槛（雅思4个6和六大要素67分）和萨省门槛（即萨省60分）；Occupation In-Demand只需满足萨省门槛（即萨省60分），达到CLB 4的语言成绩（雅思听力4.5，阅读3.5，写作4，口语4）即可。
